“Listen closely… the eternal hush of silence goes on and on throughout all this, and has been going on, and will go on and on. This is because the world is nothing but a dream and is just thought of and the everlasting eternity pays no attention to it.”
An Anima-Mundi mixed exhibition curated by Joseph Clarke held at Herrick Gallery.
‘Sentry Reign’ utilises spoken text from Ibn Tufayl’s 12th century text Hayy Ibn Yaqzan. The piece forms a personal repose in which a referenced dialogue surrounding auto-didacticism, solitude, and understanding is explored through the interrelationship of sound and language.
